1989 Toyota Van Fuse Box - Where Is Music Processed from the Brain? ? The above graphic shows the standing of each portion of the mind when processing sound. There are a number of perspectives on how music is processed by the brain, the following are a few examples of popular perspectives. But, all views of a similar nature are on display . Some people feel that the brain is primarily responsible for all language processing. They presume that this brain region is responsible for interpreting sounds and transmitting messages from person to person. The first form of the opinion of music processing is popularly called synchronistic: sound-to-language model. This version claims that language is transmitted via the ear and if we know a language it's possible to comprehend the meaning of the noise. The next view is that sounds are in reality noise. We then state that sounds are notsound since they are in fact a noise. This may be viewed from hearing a word forsound such asbuzzing. Noise has no meaning. It is just noise. The next view is that the brain has an audiosound processing mechanism. It contrasts sounds and decides if they are meaningful or not. This view says that all sounds could be translated to imply something. The fourth view of music processing is that the mind is not in control of what is being played. It only knows how to perceive matters. A person could be able to hear and interpret sounds however, the brain can not actually perceive anything, everything isjust sound. This opinion says that our brain only perceives those things that are purposeful. Music therapy is often practiced in which the patient is played simple or complex parts of music via an ear, or a trained artist that also aids the patient. This helps the individual to adapt to the audio and to find the underlying significance. By changing the sounds, the individual will learn to recognize different meanings and so have the ability to talk about and understand their own experiences. Each of these views is legitimate in some way. The next diagram shows where the brain's ability to store and recall the information is saved in the brain. As soon as we learn a new piece of music the brain immediately adds fresh connections from the new info to regions in the brain related to sound processing. Because of the sheer complexity of audio processing in the brain there is no one answer to this question, where's music processed from the brain? There are lots more perspectives on music processing than could be listed here.
